How MileMori works.
MileMori lets you see your life as a road and move toward what matters to you in small steps. The sections below explain how the app works, where what you write is kept, and what this product is not.
What the road means
Life is a journey.
MileMori draws your life as a road on a real map. The road is yours; it races no one.
See your route.
Your road runs one way between the two places you choose. It is a view, not a verdict.
Birth is the starting point; your chosen destination is the horizon. One road, traveled once.
The start is your birth; the last stop is the calculated time horizon. You travel this road once.
Where on the road are you right now?
The gold marker shows where you are today on this road. The calendar moves you along it; you light it. It is not your device location.
Place your stops.
Place your goals as stops on your road. A stop is not a deadline; a stop you pass never turns red.
Learn to extend the route.
The model weighs a few habits; a change you record can move the model’s road. How much depends on your age. It is not a promise and makes no claim of cause; the coefficients come from observational studies. Here you learn; there is no reward for it.
How do your road and goals move forward?
Your place on the symbolic road of your life is drawn from your birth date and your life horizon. This is not a medical prediction; it is a representative scale that sets the length of your road.
Your goals move forward only with the real steps you record. The road completes nothing on its own, and a goal does not advance because time has passed. Turning your focus to another goal does not erase your earlier plans: the focus changes, your records stay.
If you can’t do it one day
You can say “Not today.” Skipping a day does not erase your past steps. Having done part of it stays visible as it is; it is not all or nothing.
If numbers and celebrations weigh on you, you can turn on Gentle mode: the figures are hidden and the wording calms down. If you are going through a hard time, Grief mode does this fully and silences notifications too. Both are in the settings of the Me screen and can be turned off whenever you like.
The limits of the life horizon
This is a glimpse, not fate. It sets how long your road is drawn; it does not say when it ends.
Your life horizon is an age: it sets how far your road is drawn. It is not a medical prediction, diagnosis or screening, and it does not take the place of a health professional. How it is calculated, which coefficients are used and what this calculation cannot know are written out, as they are, on a separate page.
Where is your information kept?
Your raw survey and health answers are not sent to the cloud. The answers you give for your life horizon, your height, your weight and your factor details stay only on this device; they are never part of the sync payload. The backup file you download, though, is a complete copy of your profile and includes these answers too — so that your horizon returns whole when you restore it. Keep this in mind when you share the file.
Your daily notes and letters go nowhere on their own. They become neither a social post nor input to an AI. For anything to reach a companion, you mark what to include yourself, one item at a time, every time; daily notes, letters and voice recordings are never on that list.
Without an account, your data is in this browser. Your profile, goals and written records are kept in the browser’s device storage. If you clear your browser data, these records go with it and can’t be brought back — download a file backup before you do.
Backup on an account is a separate permission. Nothing goes to the server unless you turn it on. When you do, your goals, steps, day records, memories, letters and habits are backed up. Turning the permission off deletes the backup on the server; your copy on the device stays.
Your voice recordings stay only on this device. They go neither to the cloud nor into the backup file; if you want to move them, you need to take them off the old device separately.
Your old data
You can review an old JSON backup in the “Account and data” section of the Me screen and then import it; the conversion report shows what is coming in before you import.
Importing replaces the active profile on this device and can’t be undone. So download your own backup first. The files of your voice recordings are not in the old JSON backup; they need to be taken off the old device separately.
Limits of use
MileMori is a tool for planning and companionship. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or screening, and it is not the place to turn to in an emergency. If you have a question about your health, the right place is a health professional.
The scales in the app come from population averages, and an average describes no one exactly. It is not a measurement of you.
What you write is yours. You can change a record, delete it or export it as a file whenever you like.
